Creating Crypto Narratives with ChatGPT
How We Leveraged AI to Share Squid's Growth Story with Safary
Everyone in crypto is scrambling to find great content creators and for good reason — more often than not, content is the product.
It’s what draws people to your brand, positions you as a thought leader, and builds a community around you before your product even hits the market.
In this post, I’ll show you how we used ChatGPT to create a full content package for Squid x Safary, including a case study, a key takeaways tweet, & a custom cover image.
This is how AI helped me streamline the process and take my content to the next level.
Case Study Creation: Bringing the Story to Life
Most case studies are, let’s be honest, boring. They tend to be a dry summary of facts: “This is the company, we helped them in this way, they liked these features.”
We wanted to do something different, to make it relatable, build trust, and be conversational.
Instead of spitting out straight facts, we used a narrative format. I introduced Bergen, the product marketing lead at Squid, and captured her perspective on how Safary transformed their growth efforts — all in her own words.
We started with a 30-minute interview where I asked Bergen key questions about Squid's challenges, goals, and how Safary helped them hit new growth metrics. Then I plugged my notes into ChatGPT with a prompt to turn the conversation into a story-based case study.
The questions we asked were the standard ones you’d use for a case study, e.g.:
Could you share the challenges Squid faced before integrating Safary's platform?
What were the primary goals you were hoping to achieve with our platform?
Which aspects of Safary have been the most beneficial for you?
What kind of insights have you gained that you wouldn’t have been able to see before?
Speaking of Squid v2, what metrics are you focusing on now?
Can you share any specific results you’ve achieved since implementing Safary?
Is there anything else you’d like to share about your experience working with Safary?
Then I plugged my notes from the conversation into chatgpt with the following prompt:
Turn these notes into a conversation-based case study of how Squid Router uses Safary's customer data platform. The speaker at Squid is named Bergen and she is the product marketing lead and the question asker is Justin, cofounder of Safary.
ChatGPT’s initial draft got me 80% there. From there, I refined the piece, asking the AI for tweaks and improvements, especially around creating a strong headline.
Ultimately, we landed on the following:
Title: “Squid's growth journey with Safary
Subtitle: How Safary Analytics fuels Squid's multi-chain growth & drives user engagement”
The result was a compelling case study that was far from your typical facts-dump. You can read the full version here 👇
Cover Image: AI-Generated Visuals
ChatGPT’s capabilities aren’t limited to text. It also helped me create an engaging cover image for the case study. Using a previously created image as a base, I asked ChatGPT to generate a new image for Squid’s growth journey with Safary, including accurate title text.
I uploaded the following image that I had previously created with chatgpt to use as inspiration with the following prompt:
Use this image as inspiration to create a cover image for a case study with Squid. The title of the image should be “Squid’s Growth Journey with Safary”
I got a few good results like this one, but needed to tweak the image to be a horizontal rectangle, to best fit Twitter’s preferred dimensions.
After a bit of tweaking, I had the perfect visual to accompany my content — no Figma or other design tools needed. Here was the final result:
Key Takeaways Tweet: Crafting Engaging Social Content
To promote the case study on Twitter, I wanted a tweet that highlighted the key takeaways. Knowing that social content needs to be catchy and educational, I used ChatGPT to draft a tweet that hit both marks.
I gave chatgpt the following prompt:
Write an exciting, catchy, long form tweet (~1000 characters) on this narrative. We dont want to make it too promotional, more natural, while still ensuring that the content is educational. Please write it in a format highlighting X key learnings, marked as 1,2,3, etc for how Squid leverages Safary’s platform.
That got the body of the content all the way there, but the most important element of a tweet is the first line, so I told chatgpt:
Improve this twitter post to make it catchy and educational for the reader so they learn something
Then I asked chatgpt to help me to continue to refine the first sentence:
Improve the first line of the tweet and offer 10 alternative versions
The tweet that followed outlined the key ways Squid leveraged Safary’s platform, providing a bite-sized preview of the full case study. You can check out the tweet here.
Conclusion
ChatGPT didn’t just help me create content faster — it helped me elevate the quality and creativity of this piece. From storytelling in case studies to crafting an attention-grabbing tweet, AI provided the framework and inspiration to take each asset to the next level.
Whether you’re a content creator or a brand strategist, leveraging tools like ChatGPT can give you the edge you need in a crowded market. After all, in web3, content is more than just king — it’s the entire kingdom.
P.s. I wrote the first draft of this article in 30 minutes and the final version was done within the hour. Hope this helps improve your efficiency and overall content game!
